SMS verbal consent procedure
For staff and for customers who want the script in writing.
When this applies
Alex Smart Tech LLC may offer customers the option to receive service-related SMS when they bring in a device, schedule service, or talk with staff by phone or in person.
Consent requirements
SMS consent is optional. It is not a condition of buying goods or services. Customers who decline can still receive repair help. Staff must get affirmative consent before enrolling someone. This procedure does not authorize promotional or marketing texts.
Staff script
“Would you like to receive text messages from Alex Smart Tech LLC about your repair or service, including status updates, appointment reminders, pickup or completion notifications, requested links, payment or service reminders, and customer-care messages? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase.”
Procedure
Staff ask using the script. The customer must affirmatively agree before SMS is enabled. If the customer declines, staff do not enroll them. The customer can later reply STOP. HELP provides assistance, and customers may call 801-349-6754. Message types are limited to repair status, service notifications, appointment reminders, pickup or completion notices, requested links, payment or service reminders, and customer-care messages.
